Nthuse Successes

Some of our successful projects

Introduction

Over the past five years, Nthuse Foundation has supported over 100 students in completing higher-level qualifications (NQF5 – NQF7) through partnerships with corporate sponsors. ​


Key achievements include: 

  • 2021: 40 students completed a Higher Certificate in Banking with a 100% pass rate; 32 secured employment. ​

  • 2022: 20 students completed a Finance and Markets Diploma, with 100% pass rate and 15 secured employed. ​

  • 2023: 20 students graduated in ICT and Business Management, 85% pass rate  and 12 secured  employment.

  • 2024: 25 students completed Higher Certificates in management, 95% pass rate  with 8 employed in hospitality and 5 employed in HR and administration 

  • 2025: 12 students completed a Higher Certificate in General Management, 100% pass rate with 6 employed.

The overall employment rate for graduates from these programs is between 70% and 85%

Jessica Koloko

 joined our foundation in 2023  and living with dyslexia and has completed her Higher Certificate in Information Science at Eduvos and currently wanting to further pursue her studies onto a Software Engineering Degree. Residing in CPT and she wants to one day start and open her own coding and technology school to teach and train young individuals living with disabilities.

LeeYarn De Beer

joined our foundation in 2023 and he is partial sighted, Lee-Yarn has completed his higher certificate in Business Management with an excellent pass and now enrolled to start his bachelor's degree in psychology and linguistics. LeeYarn is passionate about people and wants to someday work with the NPA and make positive changes within SA.

Siphosethu Magalanka

joined our foundation in 2024 and she has epilepsy, Sethu started with the Foundation as an HR intern while pursuing her HR degree and upon completion of her studies in she has successfully joined the BP group of companies and relocated to the WC.

Lizzie & Nurjaeaan

both students being blind and having been through a diploma program with the Nthuse foundation and successfully completing their studies. And both have now gone on to work for successful organisations in Cape Town

ABSA

successfully upskilled 20 unemployed youth living with disabilities from matric level and have taken them through a banking and finance study journey and successfully helping them achieve their diploma in Financial Markets.
